With a deep knowledge of 49 CFR 26 concerning the Department of Transportation DOT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise DBE Certification, National WBE Certification, National MBE Certification, Federal SBA WOSB, State and Local certifications, and connections with the agencies, individuals and third party certifiers, Paul is a sought-out Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Certifications.

 

Additionally, Paul has served as an advisor for the State of Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office and the United Way of Northern New Jersey, Asset Limited, Income Constrained Employees (ALICE) program. Recent Public Speaking events include the North American Wooden Pallet Association Spring Leadership Conference, 2020, Women and Drones Podcast, 2021, and Webinar with the Small Business Administration (SBA) for the Utah Manufacturers Association & UAMMI joint webinar: Getting your Women-Owned and Minority-Owned Business Certified, 2021.

 

Paul is also an adjunct faculty for Mercy College of Ohio; he serves on the Healthcare Administration Advisory Committee, and teaches Healthcare IT and Healthcare Marketing in the Healthcare Administration (HCA) Undergraduate Curriculum. Currently, Paul is advocating for the creation of a Diversity and Inclusion course, and appropriate funding, to augment the current HCA curriculum.

Background: 

Paul has worked with numerous companies over the years in the public and private sector including his work as a Senior Level Strategist for Cerner. He was involved with White Space initiatives, (New Market Opportunities) including the highly successful MPage initiative which pulled patient information from the database into a workflow and clinician friendly interface using web technologies.

 

During his time at Cerner, Paul also worked on submissions to the FDA for new electronic clinical tools, Point of Care Mobility with CareAdmin and CareMobile, PowerOrders and PowerPlans.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University and a MBA with a concentration in Managing Information Systems from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio.
